Episode One of Brazen Belles! brings us stories from the women’s suffrage movement in South Carolina – the 19th Amendment was ratified in August, 1920 and officially published in the U.S. Constitution on August 26th, which is celebrated as Women’s Equality Day. This episode features the stories of women who worked tirelessly for women’s right to vote – across the state of South Carolina and nationwide.
